408 and The Things We Were Share New Single “Watch It Burn”
408, out of Orlando, FL, and The Things We Were, from Philadelphia, PA, have teamed up to bring you a personal, socially, and politically charged look at the times with their new single, “Watch It Burn”, released yesterday. Both pop-punk bands also have current singles out, 408 with “Drop Out” and The Things We Were with “Plaid Shoes and Tattoos.”
408 is Mark Faroudi (lead vocals/bass), Jake Cerretani (drums/vocals), Jon Jordan (guitar/vocals) and Steve Parsons (guitar/vocals). The Things We Were are dual vocalists Dylan Garforth (guitar) and Thomas Jay (guitar), Jonah Greenberg (bass) and Jake Siegel (drums).
Faroudi says, “Watch it Burn was created during the peak of unrest in the United States. The song explains the feeling of someone watching their life burn around them, after all of their hard work, building a life, making choices, and building relationships. Life itself seems like a never-ending painting of pain and loss.”
“Watch It Burn” was produced by Andrew Karpovck and mixed by Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, The Ghost Inside, The Word Alive) at The Audio Compound in Orlando, FL. 408 plans on releasing their new EP, Sherbert, in early 2021, with the single, “Missed Calls (27),” coming out in January.
