Deftones is one of those bands that has humanity divided, they either love it or hate it. It is rare to find middle ground in this topic. Luckily for us fans, lovers outnumber the haters by a large proportion, and Deftones is one of the most successful “metal/nu-metal/experimental/rock whatever makes you feel happy calling it” bands out there. With multiple platinum albums and their worldwide fanbase, it’s safe to say their weird version of heavy music is well loved.
Here at Too Much Love we’re Deftones fans just like everyone else, not only for the music but also for the inclusion of it in many movies we love, adds, tv show and so on. These days it’s easy to find the bands music or it’s influence if you look for it.
Deftones will be performing with Rise Against here in Miami at Bayfront Park on June 23rd (it’s a Friday!!) so we decided to put together a selection of our favorites, just to get some of you hyped for the show! While searching the web for videos that I wanted to add to the list I realized that some are in pretty low rez, or are just picture tracks. I decided to go with these because this is how a lot of us discovered the band, in the beginning of the internet era.
So, ladies and germs, with no further ado and in no particular order, I give you DEFTONES!

And, as a special bonus, the collaboration between Deftones and Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer) which, not only a great track in it’s own right, but their vocals overlay in an almost perfect way. One savvy youtube commenter described it thusly: “Chino and Maynard are musical peanut butter and jelly.” Here at Too Much Love, we agree with that statement.
