To enter the Noty Aroz universe is to accept a call to mutual comprehension, embarking in an ethnic and symbolic journey.
The answer to the question ‘Can we anticipate the deities of tomorrow?” is explored in the French duo’s first Miami solo show at the Collective Art Miami.
The artistic duo, made up of a screenwriter and a visual artist, are coming directly from Paris to set up a unique show of their multidisciplinary art works. Mythologeny is the contraction of the words Mythology and Y Generation..This exhibition invites you to discover the new mythology they created in an interactive way.
The exhibition consists on a collection of masks, created following a precise methodology called Graphic Ethnology, allowing to translate deep historical researches in images. Each of their meticulous creations is a work with several degrees of reading that you will experience via audio and UV light installations.
The deities of this cosmopolitan new belief are ‘‘syncretic’’ mixtures of ancient cultures and popular characters from fiction.
Join us this Saturday, December 1st, to explore the world of Noty Aroz. Enjoy complementary beer, courtesy of local Wynwood brewery Veza Sur, mezcal cocktails courtesy of El Tinieblo Mezcal, and get the evening going to the tunes of DJ Guapo, of Ladies Love Radio. Here’s the address.
Located by the Wynwood district, The Collective Arts Miami is a house to creativity and cultural exchange. It’s exhibition space is the perfect venue to spotlight creations that are encouraging cultural openness and a more contemporary vision of myths and believes.
