Kendra Muecke (Kendra and the Bunnies) Releases new Video/Single
Hi Kendra! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us!!
Share your latest release with our readers and the story behind the creation!
Thanks for inviting me to interview! My most recent release is a music video for the song “A Tall Order” from my newest album titled “of Thank You”.
It is a song I wrote in March of 2020. It is centered around the emotional turmoil of isolation, the hope for a better tomorrow, and the battles of withstanding addiction. There is something peaceful and powerful about the music video too. Here is the link where it debuts on 11.11. Wednesday, 11:11 am PT.
What was the process behind “A Tall Order” music video?
Well, the day was just perfect. Los Angeles was rather overcast and chilly, and I wanted the music video to have palates of winter and fall.
I know an area in the San Fernando Valley that overlooks the city, so I headed there with my director, dressed for the weather with my hula hoop.
The fact that some of the shots come off like I am in Oregon or Colorado is so great. It brings such a different flavor to my selection of music videos.
The music video before this one was for my song “NYKO, NYKO” and that takes place in front of the Hollywood sign and the Sunset Strip, so this one is different and a change of tempo.
When do you feel victorious?
Very much so. I think life is what we make it. Through my experiences, I have learned that I am capable of doing anything I set my mind to.
… and if I pair that with believing in myself, then I am destined to accomplish it or something in the same realm.
What does a typical day look like for Kendra?
Wake up. Coffee. Emails. Phone calls. Nature walk. Songwriting/Rehearsal session. Social media posts throughout the day. A spiritual practice or some sort of meditation. Prayer. Connect with people. Another music or writing thing or performance. Bed. Repeat and add traveling for shows throughout the year.
Who/what lifts you up when you feel like you can’t?
Jesus, Chopin, Grateful Dead, Z-Ro. My mom, dad, brother, family. Cats in general. Exploring.
What does “Me Time” mean for you?
To me, ‘me time’ is exactly as it sounds. It is about doing whatever I need to do to comfort and relax myself.
Skincare, TV episodes, eating, reading, social media, listening to ranting YouTube commentators.
Window shopping with occasional shopping thrown in.
Seeing live music.
Please tell our readers how to keep in touch with you!!
