There ain’t no party like a rock’n’roll party!

And no self respecting rock party is complete without a few tracks by QOTSA. On May first Miami will break out the leather jackets and the jeans, and flock to Bayfront Park Amphitheater for a night of rock, drinks, cool cats and good tracks. Then again, considering that it’ll be May in Miami, I might encourage a few people to leave them leather jackets at home. It might be a little too hot for that.

But who cares about the heat? Queens Of The Stone Age makes music to move, dance and sweat to, and that’s exactly the plan. The organizers hit the nail on the head with the venue for this show, since the Bayfront Park carters to the two kinds of rockers that attend shows these days: The ones that like seats at a show, and the ones that don’t. The seating is clearly marked and monitored, but the lawn is a free for all, with good views from practically anywhere you sit or stand. The only thing that can be said against the Bayfront Park Amphitheater is that you might have to lineup to get a drink between sets. And that is the same anywhere you go, so…. deal with it, slick.
