Friday, November 30th – Lagrimas: Dénudés, and Grinder 6 @ Las Rosas
A night of darkness, death-rock and post-punk is back at Las Rosas this Friday for their monthly affair. This months line-up includes goth-rock outfit Dénudés, made up of Luigi La Rocca (Vox/Guitar) Krystal Andreu (Bass), Eddie Spaghetti (Lead Guitar/back vocals) and Anthony Genovese (Drums). With their tongue in their cheek, they self-describe as “Fuzz Noir”, and with their aesthetics and musicality influenced by BDSM, Fetishism and Film Noir they are definitely on brand for the night. Also taking the stage with their unique take on Dance meets Dark Electronic/ Experimental is Miami duo Grinder6. The project is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and producer David Grinder and vocalist/keyboardist Lislé Von Cristaux. DJ Rippin Kittin, DJ DeadHead and your host, Nayra Serrano will be taking care of the in-betweens. Head out this Friday at 10 pm for the free and fun night. More info
Friday, November 30th – Jaialai @ Kindred Miami
Psych-rock meets shoegaze outfit Jaialai will be headed to the multi-genre venue Kindred Miami tomorrow at 9 pm. The four-piece group are fresh from the release of the first single ‘Hold The Phone’ off their upcoming album Say So, and will be sounding as good as ever after playing prolifically this summer, including a set at Miami’s premiere indie-fest HOC. The night also marks the grand opening of the downtown venue, where they will be offeing good vibes, good music and good food, and drink specials all night. The show is free of charge but is 21+, so head out and check out what these Miami boys have to offer. More info
Saturday, December 1st – Mythologeny Solo Show ft DJ sets @ Collective Art Miami
Noty Aroz will be celebrating the opening of their first solo US show this Saturday at The Collective Art Miami. The French artistic duo combines their respective skillsets and mediums as a screenwriter and a visual artist to create a unique multidisciplinary project. The exhibition they will be unveiling, entitled: ‘Mythologeny’, invites the viewer into a new universe. The exhibition consists of a collection of masks, created following a precise methodology called Graphic Ethnology, allowing one to translate deep historical researches in images. Each of their meticulous creations is a work with several degrees of reading that you will experience via audio and UV light installations. Join the artists for the opening night to talk about and take in their work, along with sets from Ladies Love Radio, all while sipping the best Mezcal in town Mezcal El Tinieblo, and Veza Sur Beer. Saturday, December 1st – SOHN JAMAL @ Space Mountain Miami
Sohn Jamal will be kicking off his winter tour of Florida at Space Mountain this Saturday! Known for his eclectic recording style, taking influence from hip-hop, broken beat and ambient music, the solo artist will be performing at the local and notable gallery-come-venue-come-community space, Space Mountain. Support will include sets from experimental, hip-hop artist Gry.clds, (who creates a collage of sound using drum machines and samplers) and electro-noise artist Lautlos. The show will open its doors at 9 pm, where a small charge of $7 will be asked for to keep the dream alive. Tickets are still available on Eventbrite now. More info
Saturday, December 1st- Telekinetic Walrus Release Party
Telekinetic Walrus will be celebrating the release of their upcoming EP, Options this Saturday. The experimental psychedelic-Hip Hop collective are back with their curated and carefully cultivated a brand of musical weirdness, combining forces with some fellow visionary artists. The show will be held in the nearby Wynwood/Edgewater area (the exact address can be found on the Facebook event page) at 9 pm, with early bird tickets still available on Eventbrite for $10, $15 at the door, and $20 for under 21’s. Among the artists performing on the night are: Afrobeta, The Galactic Effect, SunGhosts and Dee Belvedere.
