Happy memorial-day weekend Miami! We are back to give you our latest roundup of local music happenings and events not to be missed. As always we have a little bit of everything for everyone, and since a long weekend means an extra day of rest, you have no excuse not to hit-up every one of these.

Friday, May 25th- Criaturas (TX) / Antifaces / ZETA / Dextro / TheNightmare @ Las Rosas
Texas based punk outfit Criaturas will be playing at Las Rosas on Friday. They’ll be joined by Zeta, Dextro and The Nightmare. Tickets are on presale now on tickeri.com for $10, $12 at the door. Don’t miss dynamo front woman Dru Molina belt it.
Friday, May 25th – SAFE presents Helena Hauff [Return To Disorder] @ The Electric Pickle
For her Miami debut, German born Dj and producer Helena Hauff will be performing at The Electric Pickle. As a pioneer and curator of gritty, experimental electro, she has already entrenched herself as a staple in the European electro scene, cementing this fact by become the first ever female DJ to be named BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix of the year in 2017.
Though online tickets for Hauffs set have sold out, there will still be tickets available at the door from 11pm, (and the event will be going till 5am), so don’t miss out!
Friday, May 25th – MASS presents Vampire Burlesque @ Voltaire
Featuring Burlesque from renowned performers such as Ruby Telse, Lila Starlet and Miss Marina Elaine, The Voltaire is bringing some Kinky Vampire realness this Friday. Brought to you by Mass, and Hosted by Miami’s resident vampire Frankie Morales, this late night event promises to fulfill both your mortal and immortal fantasies.
Among other acts, the main room will be taken over by the special guest DJ, Carlos Menendez, who will be playing some Dark Indie/ Electro-Industrial mixes for y’all. Doors will be at 10pm, where a small $8 cover will be charged!
Saturday, May 26 – Mitú @ Floyd
This Saturday Floyd proudly presents the roots-meets-electronica duo Mitú. Mixing traditional Colombian rhythms with layered synths and and acid-electro influences, musicians Julián Salazar and Franklin Tejedor have carved out a unique and electrifying sound that they’ve termed “techno palenquero”.
Their dance inducing vibe will keep you going all night, so good thing the event is from 10pm – 5am ! Tickets are still available on Ticketfly and range from $10 – $20.
Saturday May 26th – The Miami Record Fair @ Gramps
Hosted by Terrestrial Funk and Gramps, don’t forget about the Miami Record Fair! The all ages, free event is from 12PM-5PM and promises a wealth of records, music and fun – including but not limited to the opportunity to DJ the live event yourself (A sign up sheet will be available the day of, starting at 11am
Saturday 26th May – Bubble Boys/Ben Katzman’s DeGreaser + more @ Space Mountain
Also on Saturday, an all ages (all ragers) rock show will be going down at Space Mountain featuring the likes of Bubble Boys (Orlando, Fl), Ben Katzman’s DeGreaser, Palomino Blond, and the Ruffans. If you’ve somehow missed out on Space Mountains’ events, it is a grass-root/DIY space that opens its doors for any and all experimentation and collaboration among artists. It has long been a staple within, and a huge supporter of, the Miami music community, so show your support and listen to some good music for only a $5 cover!
Sunday May 27 – Day Time Pervy Pool Party @ The Westin hotel in Fort Lauderdale
Its Kink galore this weekend, as we bring another fetish party to your attention that just cant be left out of the lineup. Celebrating their 23 year anniversary, the Fetish Factory is kicking off all weekend with extraordinary and deviant events. Check out their day time Pervy Pool Party on Sunday which will feature DJs, BBQ, performers and much more! Bondage gear/fetish wear is a must for entry, so get ready for some interesting tan lines.
