Happy weekend Miami! We’ve made it over the hump, and the strobe lights at the end of the tunnel are finally in sight. Here is are latest round-up of music centric shows, events and festivals we think shouldn’t be missed.
And remember, we’d love to hear from you too. Please email in with any events you think we should include!
Thursday, June 22 – Debaser (???) @ Revolution Live Ft. Lauderdale
Who is Debaser? Rumor has is…The Pixies. Though the weekend has not technically started yet, we felt this one was exciting enough to include. The not so secret, secret show will be going down in Ft. Lauderdale’s premier venue, Revolution Live tonight, starting at 7:30pm. Debaser being the first song on The Pixies 1989 album Doolittle, it hasn’t taken long for the music masses of Miami to (hopefully) crack the code and start buying up tickets. Unfortunately as I was posting this segment, tickets have sold out; however there may still be some available at the box office so try your luck! Godspeed.

Saturday June 23 – Vakula (Dekmantel / Bandura) @ The Electric Pickle
It wouldn’t be a weekend in Miami if there wasn’t a new deep house ‘person of the moment’ playing their North American debut. Over in Midtown at the Electric Pickle, Ukrainian electronic artist and producer, Vakula, will be playing some of his current and in demand mixes starting at 10pm. His sets have been described as “dance floor shamanism”, and he is known to create a textured and unruly atmosphere where-ever he’s playing.
