Grammy award winning Venezuelan rock outfit VINILOVERSUS will take over the beloved Miami record store to present the latest effort by the band, “Days Of Exile”. The LP is the fourth full length release by the band, and their first singing in English. The event will take place at 7pm on Thursday, May 25th at Sweat Records (5505 NE 2nd Ave, Miami). The band will be playing a special acoustic live set, with a selection of tracks from the LP.
With this album, the band departs from its traditional garage rock sound and presents itself with a more accessible sound and a richer musical arrangement than before, showcasing VINILOVERSUS’ evolution into English songwriting and their ambitions to diversify their sound and reach a wider audience. “Days Of Exile” is a 100% made in Miami product, having been written and recorded at the band’s studio in the city, and pressed on vinyl at the recently re-opened SunPress Vinyl plant located in Opa-locka.
VINILOVERSUS is a five-piece band from Venezuela, that rapidly garnered a reputation for their unapologetic, constantly evolving style and explosive live performances. Formed in Venezuela in 2004, the band released their first album, “El Dia Es Hoy”, in 2008. As their popularity rose in their home country, they toured Latin America, the US and Europe, landing a Latin Grammy Nomination in 2010 for their second album. They finally received the Latin Grammy Award in 2012 for their third release. The band is now based out of Miami, and plans to use its new location to further inspire and grow with their music.
VINILOVERSUS is Rodrigo Gonsalves (guitar/vocals), Juan Victor Belisario (bass/keyboard), Orlando Martinez (drums), Adrian Salas (bass), and Alberto Duhau (guitar).
