“Burn II”, VOWWS haunting new single released today, August 17th, is an inspired remake of their track “Burn”, from the album Under The World. The death-Pop duo have returned to the spotlight with this beautiful re-imagining of their previously released track, collaborated on, and featuring the vocals of the enigmatic Kristina Esfandiari (King Woman and Miserable).
The single is a distinctly melancholic take on VOWWS’ signature style – a rich, dark tapestry that allows Kristina’s vocals to fill and resonate the sonic scape. This release follows the announcement of the lineup of Dia De Los Deftones music festival, which VOWWS is set to perform.
The track “Burn” was originally produced by VOWWS (with assistance from Kevin S. McMahon from his studio in New Paltz NY), with all the new arrangement, vocals and mixing handled by VOWWS in their home studio in Los Angeles. The collaboration between Kristina and VOWWS is the product of both a personal friendship and professional relationship, resulting in this synergetic single.
The track was released via Anti-Language Records, and is available on all streaming platforms. The artwork for the single was done by long time friend and collaborator Jesse Draxler.
