Heike Dempster is a curator, art writer, arts administrator and artist collaborator based between Miami and Munich. She is a curator, writer, Consulting Director at AIRIE (Artists in Residence in Everglades), and works in international artist management with Amir Shariat. Curatorial projects include exhibitions, performances and talks at Baker —Hall Gallery in Miami, Locust Projects in Miami, All Street Gallery and Latitude Gallery in New York, Nouveaux deuxdeux Gallery in Munich, NKR in Düsseldorf, Soho Beach House in Miami Beach, and Untitled Art Fair, to name a few. Her articles and essays have been published in various art magazines as well as numerous exhibition catalogues and books.

Nostalgia, Identity, and Landscape in “to meditate on the warmest dream”
The current two-artist exhibition “to meditate on the warmest dream“ at homework creates a dialogue between new works by two Miami-based artists: Roscoè B. Thické III and Matthew Forehand. Combining elements and references to architecture, landscape and space, the works juxtapose urbanity and nature, and explore nostalgia and the intersections of memory and self-discovery, as well as Diasporic identities.
