I want to share a little gem I recently found. Her name is Nicollette Sullivan. I have witnessed her work and it is truly marvelous. Nicollette has been immersed in the world of music since her earliest days. With her father’s love for hard rock and metal and her mother’s appreciation for Soul, R&B, Classical, and Funk, Nicollette’s musical upbringing was nothing short of diverse and eclectic. While Nicollette is working tirelessly on her upcoming album today she is ready to share her brand new single/cover of the timeless song “Vincent” by American singer Don McLean. 

She’s not just giving us a straightforward rendition, she infuses the song with her own unique style and spin, adding a fresh perspective and personal touch. “I always loved the song Vincent, I remember hearing it as a kid when my dad would listen to Don Mclean. I thought the melody was beautiful but didn’t really understand the words at the time.” Nicollette adds “Now I can totally relate to the words, all about how a sensitive, artistic, complicated and talented human being like Van Gogh, could be misunderstood and even ignored by his peers despite all of his talent. The words to the song are haunting and tug at the heartstrings, and tell the story of an artistic soul’s struggles. I felt I could do an interpretation of the song that would do it justice, but have its own unique style and flavor, hopefully, I’ve accomplished that. It’s never easy covering a song that is so great in its original version, but it’s a fun challenge. I hope my version resonates with music lovers.” The creative journey she embarked on to create this cover was truly amazing.

With each passing day, Nicollete continues to grow, evolve, and develop as an artist. Her journey is marked by a relentless pursuit of greatness and a constant desire to push the boundaries of her creativity.
