Samantha Marie Unveils a Post-Grungy Rock Single
From southern Florida to L.A. Samantha Marie Saglibene is rocking out hard with a pristine new single ‘Push Me Out’. Sammy’s life wasn’t an easy one, dealing with several mental issues like anxiety, depression, and eating disorders she found salvation in music. Her musical interest started at the age of 10 when she performed in a musical theater for 5 years in a row, however, her true passion for music emerged in high school. During the coronavirus pandemic, Sammy had the time she needed to sing and travel to L.A. Taking advice from her friends, she picked up her car and began traveling from the west coast to the east coast, the time had come for her to shine brightly.
In this masterful performance, Sammy takes a mix of alt-rock and a good dose of post-grunge and rocks the hell out in ‘Push Me Out’. The song is a riff-ridden rock anthem permeated by steady rhythmic drums and heavy guitar lines. Her voice invokes strong Shirley Manson vibes and with lyrics like “Making Me cry again you love that sound” “Ripping my heart watching me bleed” you know Sammy isn’t messing around. The whole tune really brings Garbage, Sleeper, and The Cardigans to mind. It’s great to see a female rocker for a change!
Samantha tells us a bit about the thought process behind making ‘Push Me Out’: ‘It began when I went to the studio and was given a guitar loop I really loved. I went into the recording microphone and started freestyling the beginning part of “Push me out again, let me down, tell me another lie just don’t say goodbye. The song really came together right then and there when I knew I loved that melody, I couldn’t get it out of my head. The song itself reflected something I was going through at the time, which was being in love with someone that was playing games with me. The lyrics are raw, honest, and open. The “just don’t say goodbye” line really strikes home, as often we want someone close to us, even when we know they aren’t treating us fairly, sometimes we don’t want it to end, or for them to say goodbye.’
‘Push Me Out’ is already out on every single streaming platform you can think of, and it is the first song from her upcoming album ‘Summers’, this is one of my top recommendations for anyone who enjoys a damn good rock song.
