Alt/Synth-Pop Musician Kian Blume Lays Down His Heart in "Parasite"

It is my duty to deliver high-quality music to the public. To help the little guy make it big and today will be no different. I'm happy to introduce you to L.A. singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist Kian Blume. Making poetic songs inspired by dramatic melodies, audacious sounds, and lively piano. Inspired by a diverse roster of artists such as Mike Patton, Primus, Michael Bublé, Bobby Darin, and composers Chopin and Satie, Kian's sound is sophisticated and versatile. His songs often feature beautiful stories and narratives that grab the listener's attention and transport them to a completely different world. His unique, eclectic style of music merges various influences, creating a captivating and dynamic sound that is both timeless and timely. His vibrant, soulful lyrics add a layer of depth and emotion to his music, making it both meaningful and enjoyable. With a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, Kian's music has something to offer everyone.

Blume's debut single "Stop the Show" topped Billboard's Dance Chart in 2019 and cemented his reputation as a songwriter to watch. Blume's cinematic baroque pop sound was inspired by his introspection during the pandemic. Now he has pivoted into an exciting musical chapter. After that, he served "Daphne", a song he wrote while recovering from a vocal injury. While the doctor told him to rest, the melody that came to him completely took control. Because of that decision, he almost lost his voice but it wasn't meant to happen. Thank God, he recovered and the world wasn't deprived of his remarkable talent. With “Daphne”, Kian Blume crafted an autobiographical and comforting single about a lover from his past. Even though the relationship didn’t work out it left him with many special and blissful memories.

In "Parasite," his latest single, pays homage to toxic lust in an irresistible way. Kian confesses "Parasite is essentially about falling in love with someone that you know isn’t good for you. I wrote it in an ominous way to show the scary emotions I go through when giving my heart to someone. Being vulnerable is scary and I resonate with that." The fervor in "Parasite" is enhanced by heightened melodies, synth-wave-inspired synths, and a memorable chorus. The song's passionate energy is also highlighted by Kian's dynamic vocal performance, which is full of emotion and yearning. As the song progresses, the intensity builds up to the explosive climax. Ultimately, "Parasite" is an anthemic song that captures the feeling of being in love with the wrong person. It expresses the fear of being vulnerable and the frustration of being stuck in a toxic relationship. The music adds to the emotion by escalating from a gentle melody to a powerful chorus. Kian's passionate vocal performance also drives home the message, making the listener feel the same intensity that Kian feels in the song. In this new single, Kian works side-by-side with Michael Orland, famous for his work in American Idol, and producer Miklos Malek. The emotional power of this single comes from the combination of different elements such as the lyrics, the music, and Kian's vocal performance. The result is a powerful and touching song that speaks to the heart.

Kian's most recent song has certainly touched my heart and that's not an easy thing to do. Lastly, the song is accompanied by a lyric video. The artwork presented is definitely interesting, and it's a nice way to enjoy the song if you prefer a more visual medium. The song is an excellent example of Kian's style, and it's easy to see his artistic growth through it. It's a melody that will stay with me for a long time. Overall, it will be a worthwhile addition to anyone's collection.
