darknet-superstar's weird trip begins.
Max Toth (dark-net superstar) is a 20-year-old producer, musician, and designer from Los Angeles. He started playing instruments at 7 and played his first arena at 12 years old. This past year he has spent his time in the studio developing artists as well as starting his own artist project: dark-net superstar.
LSD in Aspen is as terrifying as it is euphoric. Quite a lot like how the two sides of a psychedelic trip may go, yet it walks that fine line committing to both simultaneously in a very unique way. The song is infused with whirring digital mirth set to distorted trap-like rhythms that both serve the emotive vocals of the artist and his cryptic lyrics. As curious and unique as the sound may be, it's all really tied together by the trippy music video in all its DIY glory. It's fun and every bit as charming as the song, perhaps even more so thanks to the heavy references to video games, random pop-culture footage, and terminally online glimpses of anything and everything. As to what it all means, perhaps only dark-net superstar can tell, but this brand-new creative is as mysterious as they come, enticing us to keep our ear to the ground in wait for whatever else he's got in store for us.
