Feel the Sting of Little Miss Nasty’s “Weapon of Choice”

I wouldn’t know if I’m to call it a match made in heaven or one made in hell, but EDM, rock, and metal music were certainly always meant to go along with the sultry theatrics of burlesque, no doubt about it. This fact is what drove and inspired the Las Vegas-based ensemble and purveyors of sex, art, and rebellion, Little Miss Nasty, to shine the decadent spotlight of Sin City on themselves and their various titillating acts of “empowerment, eroticism, and other-worldliness.” The burlesque show was founded, choreographed, and managed by none other than the wickedly talented Gina Katon, who also performs with her band, “Gina and The Eastern Block”.

As true trailblazers, they've put together a slick Las Vegas production with amazing female dancers, aerialists, vocalists, and contortionists. They've also gone all into music, now releasing their debut album, "Weapon Of Choice.”

The album opens on a very moody electro-heavy and decadent pop-metal track called “Liquid Stars,” which very aptly drips into your ears first with its sultry opening before sweeping you away with its heavily distorted guitars and groovy percussion.

Of particular note is the album’s possibly leading title, “Buried in Sin,” a track inspired by the censorship and backlash that Little Miss Nasty has faced online over time, particularly on platforms such as Meta. Little Miss Nasty’s philosophical position on the liberating power of eroticism is fully on display in the lyrics and the accompanying video. They will not be put down, hidden, or silenced; they’re here to stay and send shivers down every spine.

The group’s mind-blowing and genre-defying performances have turned them into a globally recognized lifestyle brand. With sold-out residencies in various cities and regular North American tours, they've rocked out in front of well over a million people, making a powerful riding crop-shaped impact on the entertainment scene.

If you’re in the mood for something dark, gothic, sexy, electrifying, and, more importantly, fresh, I can confidently say that you won’t put your ears—and eyes—in better hands than those of Little Miss Nasty and their new album, “Weapon Of Choice.”
