Cerise Moon is a rock band that came together through a unique meeting of like-minded individuals. The band was formed when a few guys responded to and posted different ads on Craigslist. The members of Cerise Moon include Blake, who takes on the role of lead vocalist, Robo, who showcases his guitar skills, Chris who provides the rhythmic beats on the drums and recently they added Anthony on the keyboard.
In the summer of 2021, Cerise Moon made their debut with their first album titled "Black & White." This album serves as a testament to their musical prowess and showcases their ability to seamlessly blend elements of 70s rock and modern-day rock n roll. Cerise Moon's approach to jamming and songwriting is characterized by its effortless style, which allows them to bridge the gap between different eras of music.
Now, Cerise Moon is gearing up to release their brand new single titled "Talk About." This highly anticipated album is filled to the brim with powerful lyrics and the band's signature sound. Speaking more about the song, it is quite a gem if you ask me! These guys have mastered blending old with new. I could describe them as modern-day Guns N Roses. Even Blake's voice reminds me of Axl. The song is full of energy and emotion. We get a wonderful guitar solo mid-song. The whole instrumental composition is amazing. Drums are great and the addition of a keyboard gives it that distinctive retro sound. Overall, the song is a great mix of traditional and modern rock music. It's catchy, energetic, and has a great vibe. It's no wonder Cerise Moon is quickly becoming one of the hottest bands on the scene. It gets high praise from me and a glowing recommendation.
We had the chance to ask Blake if it was the creative process behind the song and this is what he had to say: "My favorite moments are when a song seems to appear out of thin air. That’s exactly what happened with Talk About. Robo and I had been in the studio working on other songs for days, and at the end of one of these long days, I picked up the guitar and instantly started playing a riff and words instantly started coming out of my mouth. We both knew it was something, so we immediately started recording. We had the main parts worked out pretty fast, but we needed a solo. I told Robo to not think about it and just play the most fucked up thing he could, so he did. At first, I was like, damn, that’s fucked up haha, but after a few more takes we realized nothing would beat the first one, kinda the way it’d been going all along. We showed the demo to Chris and he knew right away what he was going to do. He plays drums with such power and intention and you can really feel it in this one. For me, the lyrics came to me when there was so much bullshit on the internet and media and I was just so sick of it, sick of having to listen. Sick of having to talk about what everyone else wanted to TALK ABOUT." Marvelous indeed. If you're a fan of good old heavy metal Cerise Moon is gonna be right up your alley.
