There’s no city quite like Miami—where noise, nuance, and nostalgia all coexist in perfect contradiction. As April winds down, Miami is showing no signs of slow down. This weekend, it’s all about community-rooted energy, with events that stretch across sound, memory, and movement.
Thursday kicks off with UNSIN, a three-day festival marrying Latin music and cultural dialogue at the Future of Cities Hub. Nearby, ZeyZey Selects brings Brainstory’s psychedelic soul into the mix, while Jazz in the Jungle lets you toast Earth Day with a live quintet and tequila under the stars. On Friday, Violetas at Hoy Como Ayer brings tropigoth energy to Little Havana with post-punk-meets-salsa vinyl sets and drinks that don’t break the bank. Over at The Ground, Marie Davidson joins a stacked night featuring Pilo and Donzii (DJ set), perfect for the techno-fueled deep thinkers.
Saturday gets introspective with poemas in conversation, a free panel discussing memory and archival art. That same night, Goth Night at Bar Nancy brings live sets from Tears for the Dying and Obsidian, while Breaking Waves at Tea & Poets champions the next generation of local bands. Sunday, shift into a multisensory dimension at Hearing Differently / Seeing Differently, a sunset experience at the Bandshell blending guitar-driven soundscapes with live visuals rooted in Miami’s visual DNA. ZeyZey offers vinyl, wine, and good company, while Soul Jazz Sundays at Esmé keeps the rooftop classy.
