Tierra Vacia Is Ready to “Rumble” the Very Foundation of Our Society

Symphonic metal had its prime around the early 00s with bands like Nightwish, Epica, and Within Temptation leading the charge. While all those bands are still around they haven't changed much, even switched to a different sound. Things have slowed down within the symphonic metal scene, however, that doesn't mean no new faces are coming around. It's my pleasure to introduce you to Tierra Vacia. Founded by Matthew Murias, the band consists of five friends from Nashville, who are now leading the resurgence of symphonic metal. Their latest album "Rumble" not only showcases their musical talent but also pushes cultural and spiritual boundaries.

In response to today's events and age-old questions, Matthew felt an undeniable calling to share his music. "Rumble" has the goal of reawakening the listener from spiritual slumber and infusing new life into those already battling darkness, it is a direct call to action inspired by God to take a stand against evil. They use their music to call out to others to stand up for truth as they feel a rumble in their spirits. Pairing the rhythms, vocals, and instrumentation of symphonic metal with true Christian lyrics for something that is not easily found in the Christian music scene.

Their name, Tierra Vacia, can be translated into English as “Empty Earth”. We live in a world that doesn't give any meaning to spirituality, people only focus on materialism and consumerism. In a time where tyrants rule without remorse and humanity has lost the true path to salvation, music is there to transmit a message of hope and to fight back against oppression. With "Rumble" Tierra Vacia is using their art to give purpose to the lost, those seeking deliverance. Giving a voice to those silenced by the wicked forces at play.

"Rumble" is the opening song for the album, it is an epic anthem with a pressing and fantastic melody. Taking elements from power metal and fusing them with symphonic it is a banger true and true. "Chosen" is next with Amber's commanding voice being the perfect fit for the pounding drums and wailing guitars. "Laodicea" starts slow but soon we find ourselves on a grandiose journey of fantasy and adventure.

Then there is "Weeping,” an alluring and sweet ballad you won't soon forget. This one is an emotional journey that will leave you wanting more. With "Midnight Cry" we are back to metal! The longest song and my favorite one. The fantasy backup chorus is perfection, giving a sense of adventure perfect for slaying dragons and facing mind flayers. An epic tale for the ages. We are also presented with five additional songs. They're slightly different takes on the songs we've already covered so give them a try after you listen to the originals.

Tierra Vacia is a pleasant surprise; they're reviving a dying genre and in doing so giving solace to those seeking refuge from all the craziness present in our world. Join them in this epic adventure against the villainous forces that seek to corrupt our very essence.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” - John Stuart Mill
