Queens-based artist 5thPlanet is coming from the deepest recess of space to invade our senses, dropping trippy LSD-infused bangers and cosmic experiences like you haven't heard before.
5thPlanet’s previous releases have spawned a wide array of genres, including ambient, left-field dance, electro, acid, and drone. Throughout 2016, he performed extensively around New York City after releasing his debut EP, "BIGCITY$OUND." After this, he released the uniquely shaped "SpaceRoxx," a pair of 7-minute bangers inspired by early acid house and breakbeat that, like his previous tracks, were well received. However, what came next proved that he wasn't afraid of further experimenting with his sound. 5thPlanet went through a dramatic transformation on his latest album, "Nocturnal Emissions," which was entirely recorded from live improvised performances. The result was a collection of deep, cinematic soundscapes intended to take the listener on a journey through the cosmos itself, best enjoyed in the dark void of a cold night.
Today we’re revisiting "Orbital Resonance," the 5th track of “Nocturnal Emissions.” However, 5thPlanet has recently released a music video to accompany the single and continues pushing the boundaries of what electronic music is even further. This new video is an entirely new and fresh experience, a journey through the vast expanse of 5thPlanet’s mind, retaining the unique blend of ambient and electronic that made the song such a memorable venture.
