Originally from Dallas, Texas, Miss Machina is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles who uses the pseudonym Miss Machina while attending Chicago College of Performing Arts. During her studies, she specialized in musical theatre and vocal performance. Graduated with honors from SMU in Dallas with a journalism degree and a minor in songwriting and voice. Moving to Los Angeles following graduation to pursue a career as an independent musician.
Taking influences from 1970s disco, 1980s synth-pop, and 90s grunge rock, Machina creates a sound influenced by nostalgic music from her youth. Machina is also a Twitch affiliate and creator of internet content while co-writing and collaborating with other independent artists.

Like That has very strong Y2K visuals. The album cover reminds me of something from the Disney Channel. Hannah Montana comes to mind. I really love the whole aesthetic, with the iMac G3 and the gossip papers right next to it. The song has a nostalgic vibe that takes me back to my teen years. It's a reminder of simpler times. Using vibrant colors and campy styling, Miss Machina has accomplished the right balance of retro meets modern.
