Cami Petyn and Flavia have done an incredible duo that manifests itself in “Sepulveda”. The name of this song corresponds to the longest-running avenue in Los Angeles and they’ve taken as a metaphor for the long-running love and admiration that FLAVIA and Cami have for each other. Both artists identify as queer and independent, so you could say that this is a queer love anthem meant to stir up emotions within everyone that’s ever been young and in love.
The song is in the vicinity of Electro-pop with its *very* infectious vibe and its ability to transport you to disco nights nestled between friends or romantic interests. “Sepulveda” has all the makings of a dancefloor firestarter and it perfectly blends the distinct styles of Cami Petyn and FlAVIA alike, in a way that you don’t realize where -artistically- one ends and the other begins. Still, this is definitely spicy song that invites you to get carried away by the flirtatious mood, and for many listeners it can just as easily be taken as an anthem for queer love as well.
Though these artists have done terrific work together here, they also have their particular individual story. Cami Petyn is an alt-pop rock singer songwriter based in LA who blends elements of modern pop, old-school jazz and electronica creating an edgy and alluring sound.
