“The original title of this song was ‘Nine Years.’ Nine years I had been in Los Angeles and I was feeling overwhelmingly stuck. I wasn’t unhappy but I was unfulfilled. I found clarity as I watched several people close to me realize that they had outgrown their relationships. We were having extensive conversations about what it meant to compromise versus settle. Sometimes the most difficult thing is walking away from something that still holds goodness, that still holds hope, and potential, but at the end of the day, change happens with or without you. This song is about not only embracing change but demanding it. It seemed an appropriate place to start after nine years of hoarding music on my hard drive. Here goes nothing.”  – Moira Mack
