Evolv brings us “Far be it from me”, a complex, layered ambient track that is pretty much a sonic adventure. The track takes you to various places, and even manages to give the impression of traveling by upping the pace in some points of the track, as if one had boarded a train and was looking out of the window. Other moments of the track make me think about waking up in some unknown park of the wilderness, calm and natural.
Here at Too Much Love we’re great fans of music that takes your inner self on a trip, and this track does just that. Musically the track is mostly synths and drums, with some bass notes hidden here and there. It would fit just fine as a soundtrack to one of those thought inducing movies.
Evolv is a project by Stephen Perez, and is based out of Washington D.C. and has put out a variety of singles, EPs and other stuff, all available on bandcamp. You should check it out if you like this video.
