Allow me introduce you to Future Joy, the funk duo hybrid composed of Emily Cooper and Zach Simms. With roots in Denver, CO and St. Petersburg, FL, they have been able to play shows all across the country and beyond. Incorporating funk, house, bass, pop, drum and bass, hip-hop, techno, jazz, dubstep, and more, Future Joy takes listeners on a musical journey without limits. Both of them are able to DJ, sing, and play the keyboard, while Zach also plays saxophone, does tenor and baritone stuff, and plays the bass. Funk and fun go hand in hand, and with Future Joy it is impossible not to have a good time. Their newest endeavor is a song/video combo called "When I’m With You."
Recorded in summer at More Noise and Sounds Studio, this tune is a great showcase of their unique sound and style. Starting slow, Emily greets us with her delightful voice however shortly after that an explosion of sounds, fun and just plain awesomeness gets to us. The pace is a literal rollercoaster, slow, then up and down again, never letting go and surprising us at every turn. Zach is able to display his unbelievable skill with the saxophone in a solo that's incredible. But what about the video? Well let me tell you, it's one trippy experience. Using bright colors and fantastical visuals, everything feels somewhat retro like something pulled straight out of the 90s. The visuals and music work together to create an immersive experience that is almost impossible to describe. It's the perfect blend of artistry and entertainment that is sure to capture your attention.

"This song is about the deepest feeling of love. The kind of love that turns your world upside down (in the best way.) The kind of love you never knew existed, and now you know you can’t live without. We are proud of how this turned out and excited to share it with the world!"
