Taylor Jules Is Under the “Waterfall”

Water conforms to any vessel, it is powerful and persistent enough to make its way through anything under the right circumstances. This realization has accompanied thinkers since antiquity, and it is a recurrent piece of wisdom that comes back through Taylor Jules’ new song “Waterfall”, a very atypical rock ballad that serves as a preview of her upcoming EP, set to debut in the Fall of 2025.

Staying true to her signature style of candid and heartfelt songwriting, Jules collaborated once more with two-time Grammy winner Marc Swersky. The track’s rich production is enhanced by the mixing talents of Seth Von Paulus, adding depth and sophistication. About "Waterfall," Jules says, “This song represents a period of release and renewal for me. It’s about letting go, much like water flowing freely. I hope listeners can find a sense of calm and strength through the song, just as I did while writing it.”

“Waterfall” gives us a perfect sample of Jules’ incredible vocals by going from tragic and smokey to gobsmackingly powerful, inspiring, and at times, even sexy. Musically, of course, swings from a bluesy ballad to a bolder, rock ballad which raises the stakes on itself, making the track feel like a truly timeless classic you’ve somehow missed all these years.

“Waterfall” captures a moment of emotional release, reflecting her journey of letting go and embracing change, making it accessible and genuine for us as listeners. As a preview of her upcoming EP, it hints at a raw exploration of ups and downs, all while maintaining her distinctive sound.
