Weekends in Miami hit differently, and this one’s stacked with events that show off the city's creative firepower. With O, Miami in full swing, 4/20 right around the corner, and cultural pockets lighting up every neighborhood from Allapattah to the beach, this is your reminder that Miami’s not just a party city—it’s a cultural force. This weekend is a reflection of the city’s layered identity, a place where poetry shares space with techno, where zines and fashion parties intersect, and where local and global voices echo through every corner. The calendar feels electric, and whether you're posted up in Wynwood, roaming Little Haiti, or dancing through Downtown, there's no shortage of fresh, fearless experiences waiting for you.
Thursday brings serious heat with a heavy-hitting night at Jolene Sound Room, where NYC’s Jadalareign teams up with local favorite Pressure Point for a vinyl-driven session that honors the legacy of Black dance music. Meanwhile, the Bandshell hosts Where Mangos Drop, O, Miami’s variety show celebrating poetry, education, and community—expect performances from Greenhouse apprentices, Sunroom students, and the legendary Carol City Marching Chiefs. By Friday, the tempo picks up. Pity Party (Girls Club) comes to Gramps for a night of indie heartbreak anthems alongside Cannibal Kids and Camp Blu, while Metalcore Monster Ball crashes through with circus chaos, distorted guitars, and a costumed crowd ready to scream.
Saturday, though—that’s the one. First stop? The Miami Zine Fair, where we’re dropping the Spring 2025 edition of Too Much Love Magazine. Find us at Table 44B, but roll through early; we’ve got limited copies and they go fast. They’re back this year with its biggest edition yet, celebrating EXILE Books’ 10th anniversary. Expect over 150 artists, designers, and writers, plus interactive artwork, live readings, new releases, and hands-on workshops. After the fair? Choose your chaos: go cosmic at III JOINTS at Factory Town, catch STRFKR at the Bandshell, or join the video-game rave Playhouse 2—where cosplay meets techno and the dance floor becomes a console. And if your vibe leans more family, Big Mamma Day at Miccosukee Indian Village offers alligator wrestling, live music, and cultural education all in one place, while the spiritually curious can vibe out at ColorFest 2025 at Haulover.
Sunday is pure sensory immersion. The 4/20 vibes are strong all day long, starting with We’d Love Some Coffee at Gramps, a sensory day party powered by Khalifa Kush and Trulieve. Over at Jolene, the Bud Smokers Ball is in full swing with Legs Benedict, or you can get weird and wonderful at Encore: She Has Risen—SUPERNATURAL HAUS’ secret dinner party, where the setlist and surprises are revealed in real time. A fitting close to a weekend full of intention, art, and Miami magic.
