March keeps rolling with another packed weekend of music, art, and celebrations. As Women's History Month continues, events across Miami highlight powerful creative voices, while the city’s nightlife delivers everything from post-punk dance floors to indie sleaze throwbacks.
Thursday and Friday set the stage with a mix of new beginnings and nostalgic favorites. Kicking things off on Thursday, Violetas at Hoy Como Ayer brings a fresh twist to the scene with an all-vinyl mix of post-punk, salsa, and disco curated by Lauren Palma. This tropigoth-inspired evening pairs killer beats with $8 cocktails and $5 Estrella Damm beers. SWMRS bring their California punk energy to Gramps and Classixx delivers feel-good house vibes at ZeyZey. Meanwhile, Domicile resurrects Neon Graveyard for a night of dark, atmospheric beats and The Corner turns up the heat with Perreo Del Pasado.
Saturday and Sunday keep the energy high. For the vinyl heads, Sweat Records celebrates 20 years, proving Miami’s music scene is stronger than ever. With a headlining set from Adrian Quesada, a rare ANR reunion, and an indie dance party to close out the night, this 20th-anniversary party at ZeyZey is a can’t-miss celebration. Meanwhile, "El Huevo" is closing its Miami run with a special final performance. After captivating thousands across 70 shows, this play, written by Nuria Anglés, transforms the gallery space into an immersive exploration of art, motherhood, and human connections. Starring Constanza Espejo and Naue Souto, this grand finale includes a mesmerizing belly dance performance by Matisa and live music by Ciey—ending its run on a high note. Art lovers can explore the legacy of women photographers at the Curator’s Tour, while The Bandshell hosts a unique reggae-opera fusion with Florida Grand Opera. If you’re in the mood to dance, Gramps revives the indie sleaze era with SLEAZE FREAKS, and Samba Sunday Carnaval brings the spirit of Rio to ZeyZey.
