In this latest episode of the Too Much Love Art Show, we explored Mujeres, the powerful inaugural exhibition at homework’s brand-new permanent gallery space in Little River, Miami. Joined by artists Diana Eusebio and Ilsse Peredo, we discussed their creative journeys, the pieces they’ve contributed, and the exhibition’s deeper significance. Adding to the conversation, homework co-founders Aurelio Aguilo and Mayra Mejia shared their vision for the gallery’s long-term impact and the exciting transition from a nomadic gallery to a permanent home.
homework’s new space at 7338 NW Miami Ct marks a milestone for the innovative gallery, following a successful year of notable exhibitions, including a Miami Art Week pop-up, participation in the MECA Art Fair in Santo Domingo, and the online show Übermensch with Brigette Hoffman in partnership with Artsy. Now grounded in Miami, Homework is positioned to expand its influence by hosting Mujeres, a collective show featuring nine female artists, running from October 17 to December 8, 2024.
“Mujeres promises to be a collective exhibition challenging entrenched biases within our artistic dialogue. By granting sole recognition and visibility to female creators in a landscape historically shaped by male voices, the show seeks to amplify their significance,” shared Aguilo and Mejía.
Curated by homework, Mujeres serves as a catalyst for reimagining cultural narratives and will feature activations, panels, workshops, and special viewings throughout the exhibit’s run.
Too Much Love will be co-hosting a panel at the gallery with the artists and writer Veronica Pesantes on Thursday, November 21st at 6pm
