Located in the old News Lounge space, Midway is the latest brainchild from the team behind Purdy Lounge, Blackbird Ordinary, The Bar and The Abbey Brewing Company. Featuring the chillest of patios, a pool table, craft cocktails and a unique menu of bar bites, and $1 oysters, there no reason why this place shouldn’t be your new hang. Check it out yourself tonight at the free event/show beginning at 9 pm. Friendly reminder to get there on time so as to get to the front of the line for the open bar (free well drinks and draft PBR) which will be going from 10-11 pm. More info

Sunday, September 2nd – Wet @ under the bridge
BYOB (beachchair) to WET at Under The Bridge this Sunday. The party will be celebrating the successful survival of us Miamians through another grueling summer, as well as the re-opening of the studio/performance space since its conversion into a live recording studio space. The improvements were thanks to their recent Knight Foundation Arts Challenge Grant and will be put to good use with the live sets to be recorded and live streamed inside. The water theme is no joke with a water slide, kiddie pools, slip and slides and water balloons all on the agenda. Music and performances will be plentiful including artists: The State Of, Smurfio and Cog Nomen to name a few. Tickets will be $10 at the door, and all proceeds go to support The Bridge in its efforts to provide free and subsidized recording services as well as event and studio rentals to Miami’s artists, activists, and musicians. The collective will also be launching their GoFundMe page at the event. Head and support them so they can keep fighting the good fight ! More info
