The legendary New York band led by Tom Verlaine played for the first time in Argentina on Tuesday April 23 to a packed Vorterix Theatre.
After forty years of history, Television made their fans dreams come true playing in Buenos Aires with a nearly complete original lineup: Tom Verlaine on vocals and atmospheric guitars, Fred Smith on bass, Billy Ficca on drums and the already declared Argentine resident, Jimmy Rip replacing the guitarist Richard Lloyd.
During a show that lasted almost an hour and a half, Television played some of their essential hits such as “Venus” and “Marquee Moon”, both from his acclaimed debut album. They also gave some hints of what their fourth and upcoming LP will be. At the end of the show they played “I’m Gonna Find You” and “Psychotic Reaction,” a Count Five cover.
