Five cuties trying to dance in a cheesy green-screen-soccer-themed video? Yes, please! In “Wide Open,” The Cats Never Sleep muse over our magical lady parts over lazy, dreamy and jangly instrumentals — it’s contemporary seduction at its finest.
On a more technical note, their music pulls influence from German Krautrock to progressive pop to Fela Kuti, a mixture that translates into groovy, funky, laid-back rock-bent jams. “Wide Open” is the second release off their first full-length record, Massage, which was just released on February 17th via Ave The Sound (France).
The record is available as an LP or CD, and you can support it here. Dim the lights and enjoy!
