California dream-pop group, Talk Time, just released their vivid single “Colors” and if we weren’t hooked on them before, we one-hundred percent are now.
Experimental, lush soundscapes surround a well-crafted, addicting melody. Fans of Harry Styles will appreciate this one as it shows off enigmatic vocals and eclectic rhythms. Produced by Math Bishop (Jacknife Lee, U2, Two Door Cinema Club, The Killers, Silversun Pickups), ’Colors’ pays homage to classic rock-and-roll while serving up some atmospheric production. The carefully observed dynamics in this sky-scraper anthem take you on a ride, aimed at enticing your truest self to come to the surface.
“When you are able to carve your own path in a positive and authentic way it’s something to be celebrated,” Talk Time says. “And through the journey you’ll keep adding experience and changing…experiencing an array of colors, guaranteed.”
‘Colors’ reveres the true life, the one your soul has laid out for you in expectation. The song is a champion for fulfilling the most heart-felt desires, suggesting that will be what makes this whole journey worth it. If we were to compare life to a song, you wouldn’t hold your breath until it was over, right? You would ride the waves of life, leaning into the swagger while the groove carries you home.
“My folly goes where I impose
My story goes like it’s supposed to” – ‘Colors’, Talk Time
‘Colors’ is the perfect segway into Talk Time’s forthcoming EP, due on April 9th. Catch them at the Bootleg for the release party, and follow the fun on Instagram.
