Bumblefest is back with its 8th edition at Respectable Street in West Palm Beach on September 6th and 7th. Organized by PureHoney Magazine, this festival brings a vibrant mix of live music from across the country to South Florida. One of Bumblefest's objectives is to offer audiences the chance to explore new sounds and bands that might not normally make the journey to our area.
As Steev Rullman, organizer of the festival and founder of PureHoney Magazine, puts it, “Bumblefest is essentially a real-world music discovery platform. A gallery of sorts where you’re given the opportunity to sample works of art that you normally wouldn’t get to experience—in this case, live music—sounds and bands that wouldn’t ordinarily make the trip. Bumblefest is South Florida’s annual cultural experience which allows us to break out of our regular routines and sample something fresh with an open mind.”
This year’s lineup includes a diverse array of artists such as Dion Lunadon (A Place to Bury Strangers), World Destroyers' Pleasure Club (Dead Meadow, Black Angels), and Starcleaner Reunion. With bands hailing from cities like New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and more, Bumblefest offers an eclectic mix of genres from post-punk to psychedelic rock to darkwave. The festival is scaled back to two stages and 21 bands this year, making it a more intimate yet immersive experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just looking to discover something new, Bumblefest 8 promises a weekend of exploration and excitement right in the heart of South Florida.
