The Miami Book Fair returns for its 41st year, offering a celebration of literature and culture in downtown Miami from November 17-24. Among the numerous sessions and discussions, a notable highlight is a panel featuring Moon Unit Zappa, author of Earth to Moon: A Memoir. The event takes place on Saturday, November 23, at 10am in Room 2106 (Building 2, 1st Floor).
Zappa’s memoir provides an introspective look at her life as the daughter of legendary musician Frank Zappa, exploring themes of identity, family, and personal growth. Moderated by Florencia Franceschetti, founder of Too Much Love, this session will delve into her experiences of growing up in a unique household and finding her own path.
Entry to this panel, along with other events throughout the week, is included with a fair pass priced at $12. More details and ticket information can be found at miamibookfair.com.
This year’s fair features a diverse lineup of authors, including Patti Smith presenting A Book of Days, Kathleen Hanna with her memoir Rebel Girl: My Life as a Feminist Punk, Deborah Paredez discussing American Diva: Extraordinary, Unruly, Fabulous, and Thurston Moore sharing insights from Sonic Life: A Memoir. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with these authors, participate in discussions, and celebrate local and national literature.
