Nomadic Art Gallery homework Finds Permanent Home in Little River

homework, the innovative nomadic art gallery, is thrilled to announce the opening of its first permanent gallery space in Little River, Miami. Following the success of their pop-up exhibition during Miami Art Week, participation at MECA Art Fair in their hometown of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic earlier this year, and Brigette Hoffman’s online show ‘Übermensch’ in partnership with Artsy in July, homework has now a longterm location at 7338 NW Miami Ct, Miami, FL 33150.

The inaugural exhibition, titled "Mujeres," is set to run from October 17 to December 8, 2024, showcasing the work of nine exceptionally talented female artists: Elisa Bergel Melo, Patricia Encarnacion, Dana Haim, Manuela Corji, Diana Eusebio, Julia Zurilla, Beth Rhodes, Gabriela Garcia D'Alta, Brigette Hoffman, Ilsse Peredo, and Nara Winston.

"'Mujeres' promises to be a collective exhibition challenging entrenched biases within our artistic dialogue. By granting sole recognition and visibility to female creators in a landscape historically shaped by male voices, the show seeks to amplify their significance," shared Aurelio Aguiló, and Mayra Mejía, founders of the gallery.

Curated by homework, this group exhibition aims to serve as a catalyst for a radical reimagining of our cultural narrative. There will be several activations announced following the opening, including panels, workshops and special viewings.

The meticulously curated exhibitions held in experimental art spaces incite intellectual dialogue and critical examination, often featuring a dynamic blend of established and emerging artists, incorporating interactive and multidisciplinary elements. They have participated in multiple fairs including NADA in Miami, MECA in Dominican Republic, and Future Fair in New York.

homework aims to ignite creative thinking and facilitate open dialogue and discourse at each of its locations, providing invaluable exposure to talented artists and allowing them to flourish in the present art landscape.
