Technique Records, a beacon of Miami's music scene, hosted its annual Record Store Day (RSD) event on April 20th, 2024, welcoming over 500 music enthusiasts for a celebration of vinyl culture, community, and exclusive releases.
Record Store Day has always been a highlight for Technique Records, and this year was no exception, with attendees treated to a vibrant atmosphere and a plethora of special activities. From delving into crates of rare finds to mingling with both local and national artists, guests enjoyed an afternoon of fun with music, food and drinks.
One of the event's highlights was the live recording of a new episode of The Making Of podcast, produced in collaboration with local publication Too Much Love Magazine. Hosted by Florencia Franceschetti, the podcast delves deep into the stories behind iconic albums, and for this special RSD episode, guests Arthur Baker and John Stanier joined Frances for an engaging discussion. The episode was hosted live at Technique Records and streamed on Jolt Radio, providing an immersive experience for both in-person and virtual attendees.
Adding to the festivities were DJ sets by Angelica Rose, Romulo del Castillo (Schematic), and Rum & Coke (Harold & Kumi), as well as Arthur Baker and John Stanier, creating an electrifying ambiance throughout the event. Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy food and drinks while browsing through Technique Records' extensive collection of over 15,000 used records, 45s, cassettes, CDs, and beyond.
Special thanks go to sponsors Monkey Shoulder Whiskey, Liquid Death, and Casalú for their support in making the event a resounding success.
