One Night Para Ella: An Experience Celebrating Women’s History Month

El Dorado Furniture, one of Florida’s premier home furnishing retailers since 1967, is hosting “One Night Para Ella,” a free in-store experience intended to celebrate, empower, and support women’s diversity during Women’s History Month. Taking place from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022, One Night Para Ella will transform their Calle Ocho Showroom into a vibrant and empowering festival square where performers, vendors, designers and creatives thrive, and women’s voices are amplified and heard.

One Night Para Ella is the culmination of the El Dorado Furniture’s March campaign, “#ELLADorado: Women Come in Every Style.” Based on the Spanish word “Ella” meaning “She”, the campaign aims to spotlight women who are changing the narrative through their diverse interests, styles and contributions to the community, while also flipping the script on the stereotypes and microaggressions they face every day. All month long, the furniture store is activating their Calle Ocho, Kendall, Palmetto and St. Petersburg showrooms to go along with the campaign. Newsstands showcasing the #ELLADorado message will be placed at the entrance of each store with customized newspapers, giving customers the opportunity to read women-inspired stories, write their own empowering headlines, and capture photo moments in-store. Posters off El "#ELLADorado: Women Come in Every Style.” campaign

The centerpiece of One Night Para Ella will be “Women Unplugged,” a curated panel discussion focusing on women thriving in traditionally male-dominated industries. 93.9 MIA radio host DJ and podcaster Kimmy B, will moderate the panel, which includes the following guests:

  • Marivette Navarrete of The Mujerista, a media platform breaking down misconceptions about Millennial women with Hispanic and Latin American heritage
  • Bonnie Beats, a DJ/producer working to shine a light on emerging artists and create inclusive event spaces for marginalized communities
  • Keesha Morisma, stylist/designer and owner of the progressive accessory brand Zhuzh

Of course, there’s no such thing as a party without music. Miami pop vocalist Yoli Mayor will take the stage after the panel with a soulful and soothing live performance, while DJane will play a vinyl-only set. Complimentary food and beverages will be available throughout the evening.

“We are so proud to host One Night Para Ella for the community. It’s a dedication to all women, from those on the stage to those behind the scenes making everything possible. On a personal level, it’s a tribute to my mother, Aida Capó. She was the matriarch of our family and our business, our driving force, just like so many women in our community and at El Dorado Furniture are paving the way,” said Roberto Capó, CMO of El Dorado Furniture.
