Record Store Day is this Saturday, April 22nd, that time of the year that we think deserves to be treated as a national Holiday. Let's face it, there is a bit of a masochist behavior behind staying in long lines for hours under the rain, the sun, or the wind (depending on what state you are) to get the releases we want, but the reward is so much better!
There is a tradition of great releases and rarities, and this year is no exception. To make things a bit easier for you we compiled a list of some of the releases we think are worth making those lines. You will find reissues from classic albums, live recordings, special editions, and rarities. If you are in the Miami area, make sure to support your local stores Technique Records, Sweat Records, and Radioactive Records if you are more up north. - Beach House - Become - The Black Keys - Live At Beachland Tavern March 31, 2002 - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Live at Levitation - Blur - Blur Present The Special Collectors Edition Parlophone - The Cure - Show (2023 Remaster) - David J - Urban Urbane - Dirty Projectors + Bjork Mount Wittenberg Orca (Expanded Edition) - Brian Eno Forever Voiceless - A Flock of Seagulls Rare Birds - 'A Flock Of Seagulls' BSides, Edits and Alternate Mixes - Garbage - Witness To Your Love EP - Groove Armada - Black Light - Hüsker Dü - Tonite Longhorn - Metronomy - Small World (Special Edition) - Motorhead - Lost Tapes, Vol. 4 (Live In Heilbronn 1984) - Nico - Live At The Library Theatre '80 - Ramones - Pleasant Dreams (The New York Mixes) - Jonathan Richman - Jonathan Goes Country - Sigur Ros - Kveikur - The Sisters of Mercy - The Reptile House - Suicide - A Way of Life The Rarities EP - The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute - Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes (40th Anniversary) - Various Artists - Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From the First Psychedelic Era (1964-1968)[50th Anniversary Box]
